Probably some of you are wondering why. Why another cooking blog. There are enough around, up and running since a long time, is another one really needed?
Well, first of all, this isn’t really just a cooking blog. When me and Goldilocks first met, we started sharing recipes and experiences with food, and I was surprised to learn most americans don’t really cook a lot at home, and mostly buy packaged food. My reaction was something like “In Italy we don’t like packaged food, you really never know what’s inside“. And then she explained how cooking fresh food every day is so time consuming and difficult to reconcile with working life.
I agreed. While cooking is probably my most favorite hobby, I would never spend all my free time on that. Still, this doesn’t mean I’ll buy packaged, preservatives stuffed, food just because I don’t have time to cook my own meal. And that’s what our blog is really about: not just cooking or eating, but about good food as a lifestyle. It’s about making wonderful meals using simple, most of the time raw and cheap, ingredients and enjoying them. And since none of us can spend all his free time cooking fresh meals, we’re gonna spend our cooking time by making OUR homemade food to freeze.
We did that for all the time we’ve been together, and we’re no professional cook, this means you can make it as well. And believe me, you’ll love it.
